Our Approach

Central Wellness Medically Supervised Weight Management takes a personalized, holistic approach to your weight loss journey. We are with you every step of the way for a safe, effective, and complete lifestyle change. We know you will lose the weight, we promise to be here to help you keep it off.

1Meet with your consultant.

She will take the time to understand your goals, select the program that best fits your needs, and complete your enrollment.

2Medical Exam and Orientation

Our Nurse Practitioner will do a complete physical exam to make sure you are eligible for the program you selected. You will also meet with your clinician to complete orientation and establish a plan for success.

3Self-Commitment

You will work diligently to follow your structured meal plan and work in partnership with our exercise specialist, nurse practitioner, and clinician to reach your weight loss goals.

4Let the celebration begin!

You have reached your weight loss goal and entered into the most difficult part of weight loss, keeping it off. We have created our Empowered Wellness program to assist you in staying a healthier you for life.

I’ve tried many different diets, but haven’t been able to keep the weight off. Why is Central Wellness different? Most diets make the mistake of focusing only on diet. It is usually a combination of special foods and supplements. We focus on identifying behaviors that contribute to weight gain to help you change them.
While you’re losing weight you’ll receive professional support to help you stay accountable. Clinical studies have shown that accountability and behavioral counseling are the most effective tools in weight loss.
What should I look for in a weight loss program?
Most people do not consider the health effects when jumping on a weight loss program, we seem to gravitate to the latest diet fad with promises that are too good to be true. Finding a medically supervised weight loss program will ensure you are getting the safest and effective program available. Some important questions to ask any program you are considering are: What is the weight management philosophy and does it make sense to you? What resources do they have to help you succeed? Are their staff trained and experienced in weight loss? What is their success rate for losing and keeping their clients weight off? Is it supervised by a medical professional?
How long will the program take?
The program length depends on how much weight you need to lose and which plan works best for you and your lifestyle. Women can lose up to 3 pounds per week and men about 5 pounds. After you have hit your weight loss goal you will move into the Empowered Wellness phase giving you the support and accountability needed to reinforce behavioral changes, ultimately keeping weight off for the rest of your life!
What kind of food can I eat?
Each person that is part of the Central Wellness Weight Management Program has their own unique plan. Most will have some type of meal replacement, which we offer many different options. If you are concerned with needing to eat meals, then we will give you the tools to make the right decisions to be successful in your weight loss journey.
Why is your Empowered Wellness phase so long?
At Central wellness we believe that it takes time to learn and form new healthy habits. During weight loss we are working on changing behaviors, but it is not until Empowered Wellness that you actually get to put them to the test. We will all make mistakes along the way, but the key is to get back on track. We want make sure we are there to help you do just that – stay on track and keep the weight off!

Common challenges during Empowered Wellness are nutrition and calorie guidelines, continuing to exercise, and practicing new behaviors. All of these must be done simultaneously to ensure that you do not gain your weight back. This can cause stress, panic, or feelings of failure. During this time consistent and frequent contact with the staff with ensure that you are focusing on new behaviors instead of reverting back to your old ways.

We require a minimum of twelve months of weight management to ensure you will have encounter every possible situation such as vacations, birthdays, holidays, stress, and emotional challenges. Accountability and planning will allow you to be successful and not resort to old behaviors. We know weight regain is a reality for any dieter, but managing it under the care of Central Wellness can result in a much smaller weight gain and a learning lesson on how to avoid future regain.
